PERAK STATE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Perak State Corporation

Besides being the primary corporation with its own activity, the corporation has 36 other associated companies and groups, three of which are listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. Previously, most of the activities of the corporation were in the State of Perak. However, in recent years, the corporation has extended its activities to other states. Although the corporation is an agency of the State Government, its operational orientation is that of a commercial organisation.

Mission

To be the prime mover in the economic growth of the State and uplift the economic power of Malaysians.

Objectives

To be the prime mover in the socio-economic development in the State

To be the main institution in the development of the indigenous community in line with the efforts to restructure society in Perak.

To be an organisation which is strong, progressive and independent.

Role

To be the instrument of economic development in the State so that higher income and standard of living may be achieved by society.

To be the principal agent in the restructuring and deveploping a commercial and industrial local community in the State.

Establishment & Organisation

The Perak State Corp. was established under the Perak State Corporation Enactment No 3 of 1967 started operation in 1971.

Management policies is determined by a Board of Directors consisting of the following eight members.
