Kerian First District For Meet The Clients Day Mesra Programme 2024: 8 February 2024

Members of the public taking the opportunity to make their complaints to the state government.

BAGAN SERAI, 8 February 2024 - Kerian was the first district for the Meet The Clients Day (MCD) MESRA Programme 2nd series this year. The programme was held at Dewan Dato' Zainal Abidin this afternoon.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said Kerian was the first district to host MCD outside Ipoh this year, which clearly showed the state government’s commitment in continuing the tradition of going to the ground to listen to the problems and reach out to the local community since it was implemented in 2022.

"Today, a total of 125 complaints were received. In the 1st series, 173 (77%) out of 226 complaints received were resolved. The remaining 53 (23%) complaints are still pending as they are complex complaints involving land and allocation matters that require the attention of many parties.

"As usual, there are also sales of raw foodstuffs and daily necessities at cheap prices from Yayasan Bina Upaya and State Agriculture Development Corporation, and RAHMAH Sales by the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry in collaboration with MN Group Enterprise," he said.

He added that this MCD also received support from the Federal Department. In conjunction with the Perak MyPesara Roadshow, the Public Services Department and Retirement Fund (KWAP) also opened a MyPesara service counter at the HBP location to provide pension card replacement services and advice on retirement, as well as the latest developments.

"The Department of Statistics Malaysia also opened a Central Database Hub (PADU) registration service counter to help visitors register their particulars.

"Just a moment ago, I presented a winning incentive of RM100,000 to the Perak Sepak Takraw Team (Perak Bison) via the State Sports Council and handed over basic equipment to the Kerian District Training Centre for athletics, pétanque, hockey and archery.

"Well done and congratulations to Perak Bison for winning the Sepak Takraw League (STL) 2022/2023 and Tun Ali Cup 2023, further raising the name of Perak as the leading team in the nation's Sepak Takraw sport," he said.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin and Kerian District Officer Mohd Sabli Bakri.

Meanwhile, the 3rd series of Tanya Cikgu Saarani Programme held this morning at Dewan Kerian Permai, Parit Buntar involved the participation of 800 students and educators from 19 schools throughout Kerian.

This time the MCD programme also involved 69 customer service counters, 5 mobile counters and more than 12 exhibition booths.
