HRH Sultan Of Perak Graces Perak Al-Quran Recitation And Memorisation Closing Ceremony: 7 March 2024

Arrival of Their Royal Highnesses.

IPOH, 7 March 2024 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Perak Al-Quran Recitation and Memorisation Prize Presentation and Closing Ceremony 1445H/2024M at the Casuarina Convention Centre in Meru here.

Accompanying the Sultan were HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Nazhatul Shima Idris Shah, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Idris Shah and HH Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Abdul Halim Shah.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer  Zubin, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) president Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini and Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk) director Harith Fadzillah Abdul Halim.

Dr. Anuar Hasin, a seven times winner, once again emerged the qari champion this year, while Puteri Kalimatul Azzua Hamid, the national level qariah winner in 2020, was the qariah champion; each taking home cash prize of RM10,000, an Umrah package worth RM10,000 and a certificate.

The qari runner-up was Mohd Kamaruzaman Daud with Cik Hasnul Taqiyuddin Cik Sazali in third place, while the qariah runner-up was Norhazira Nabila Mohd Kamel with Munirah Razali in third place.

The runners-up and third places each received RM7,000 and RM5,000 cash respectively, and a certificate.

For the memorisation category, Muhammad Adib Ahmad Rozaini emerged as the qari champion for the 1-30 Juz category, while the qariah champion was Allama Al Aini Aziz@Abdul Aziz; each taking home cash prize of RM10,000, an Umrah package worth RM10 ,000 and a certificate.

The winners of the recitation and memorisation competition will represent Perak at the National Level to be held at the Pahang Sports Complex Indoor Stadium (Sukpa), Kuantan, Pahang in June.
