HRH Sultan Of Perak Graces Islamic Affairs Premier Forum In Conjunction With Ummatic Festival 3.0: 9 March 2024

IPOH, 9 March 2024 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah and HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim graced the Islamic Affairs Premier Forum at Masjid Muhammad Al Fateh in Taman Jati here.

The forum organised by Ummatic Festival with the strategic collaboration of the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM), Radio Television Malaysia and Bank Islam was held in conjunction with Ummatic Festival 3.0.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin (Rtd) and wife Toh Puan Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Hajah Rasiah Md. Nor, Religious Affairs Minister Senator Dato' Setia Dr. Mohd Na'im Mokhtar and wife Datin Setia Nik Roslini Raja Ismail, Religious Affairs Deputy Minister Senator Dr. Zulkifli Hasan, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and wife Datin Che Fauziah Ahmad, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk) director Harith Fadzilah Abdul Halim and heads of departments and agencies.

The forum titled 'Tempatku Bersujud' featured Al Hijrah TV Sharia Content Manager Ustaz Nabil Ahmad as moderator and three panelists, namely Universiti Islam Antarabangsa lecturer Dr. Muhammad Ayman Al-Akiti, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia lecturer Associate Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohd Izhar Ariff Mohd Kashim and Prof. Dr. Sharifah Hayaati Syed Ismail of Jabatan Siasah Syar,iyyah, Akademi Pengajian Islam Universiti Malaya.

The essence of the one-and-half-hour forum at 9.30 pm, among other things, was to specifically discuss the function of the mosque as a link between people and between humans and Allah S.W.T.

The Ummatic Festival 3.0 held from 8 to 10 March 2024 was a bi-annual programme that was initially organised jointly by Jawatankuasa Kariah Masjid Muhammad Al Fateh and Kelab Belia Al Fateh. 

It aimed to make the mosque a place for the unification of the community as well as a one-stop centre for community activities. 

Besides the Islamic Affairs Premier Forum, various activities were arranged to realise and enable the mosque play its role according to its true function, such as health screening, ummatic exercise, push bike challenge, archery and horse riding, ummatic kitchen, ummatic cybergames and more. 

Also, to liven up the programme, a total of 170 international undergraduates from 16 countries, including Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Turkey, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Senegal, Nigeria and several other countries will camp around the Masjid Muhammad Al- Fateh area.
