Prime Minister’s Official Visit For The Perak MADANI Breaking Of Fast Ceremony 2024.

IPOH, 25 March 2024 - Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim chaired the Perak State Development Briefing at the Operations Room, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan.

The briefing was delivered by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad in conjunction with the Prime Minister's Official Visit for the Perak MADANI Breaking of Fast Ceremony 2024.

Also present were Higher Education Minister Dato' Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd. Kadir, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin and State Exco Members.

Higher Education Ministry secretary-general Dato' Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang, Economy Ministry secretary-general Dato' Nor Azmie Diron, Implementation Coordination Unit director-general Nor Azman Ibrahim, Ministry deputy secretaries-general, Perak deputy state secretaries and heads of state and federal departments were also present at the event.

Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim then officiated the GERAK RAHMAH 2024 Programme: Jom Masak Bubur Lambuk Perpaduan and Presentation of Tambun Parliamentary Constituency Rahmah Contribution at Dewan Orang Ramai in Meru. 

The highlight of the visit was the Perak MADANI Breaking of Fast Ceremony 2024 at Kolej Poly-Tech MARA. 

Dato' Seri Saarani said this going down to the ground visit was special as the Prime Minister was willing to exchange views so that the State and Federal Governments can work together more closely to ensure that projects of interest to the people of Perak are successful. 

"This includes the implementation of high-impact projects that are being actively implemented. Among them are our efforts to make the Kerian Integrated Green Industrial Park (KIGIP) initiative in Kerian district a success, as announced by the Prime Minister at the presentation of Budget 2024. 

"Also, the implementation of other high-impact projects, such as the Automotive High Technology Valley (AHTV) in Tanjung Malim, Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMIC) in Manjung, Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP) in Kanthan, as well as the progress and direction of development of the non-radioactive rare earth elements (NR-REE) mining industry that  we have started as a pilot project in Hulu Perak," he said in his welcome speech. 

Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the matters raised by the Perak State Government will be given attention as he has high hopes to improve the targeted projects in the state.
