HRH Sultan Of Perak Graces Perak State Level Nuzul Al-Quran Celebration: 27 March 2024

IPOH, 27 March 2024 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Perak State Level Nuzul Al-Quran Celebration at Masjid Sultan Azlan Shah.

Accompanying the Sultan were HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Idris Shah, HH Raja Kecil Besar Perak Raja Dato' Seri Azlan Muzzaffar Shah Nazrin Shah, HH Raja Kecil Sulong Perak Raja Dato' Seri Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah Ashman Shah and HH Raja Kecil Tengah Perak Raja Dato' Seri Iskandar Raja Ziran@Raja Zaid.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin (Rtd), State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Dato' Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin,  State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, Perak Mufti Dato' Seri Wan Zahidi Wan Teh and Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini.

The ceremony began with a recital of the Al-Quran, tahlil followed by breaking of fast with more than 1,000 congregants before performing the Maghrib prayer.

At the event, Sultan Nazrin presented MAIPk Hari Raya aid from the zakat fund totalling RM11,772,300.

The aids were handed over to the mukim heads from 12 districts representing 39,241 recipients, comprising the poor and asnaf throughout Perak.

The recipients of the aid were selected from a list proposed by the Jawatankuasa Kariah Masjid dan Surau Diri Jumaat in the state.

In addition, all recipients of monthly financial aid and hemodialysis consisting of the poor and asnaf also received Hari Raya Aidilfitri assistance.

The ceremony ended with the Isyak and tarawih prayers in congregation.
