This year's Excellent Service Award Presentation Ceremony was different from the previous years as it was held in a confined space and limited to only officers and staff under the Perak State Secretariat Human Resource Development Panel in compliance with the RMCO SOP to curb the spread of Covid-19.

"All civil servants, especially in Perak, must maintain the momentum of their work whatever the trials and challenges that lie ahead.
As stated by the Menteri Besar, every civil servant must practise and instill in themselves the principle of “Take Pride and Take Ownership”. This does not mean we are proud of our position, but we are proud of the trust that we shoulder," he said.
Also present were State Legal Adviser Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin and State Financial Officer Dato’ Zulazlan Abu Hassan.
The function also feted five officers who had been transferred out of the Perak State Secretariat.
