LENGGONG, 20 APRIL 2024 - HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Menteri Besar’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration Ceremony at Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA (KKTM) here today.
Also gracing the event were HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Nazhatul Shima Idris Shah, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Idris Shah, HH Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Abdul Halim, HH Raja Kecil Sulong Perak Raja Dato' Seri Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah Ashman Shah and HH Raja Kecil Tengah Perak Raja Dato’ Seri Iskandar Raja Ziran.
Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Dato' Abdul Khalid and wife Datin Aznee Abu Samah, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and wife Datin Che Fauziah Ahmad, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members and Home Affairs Deputy Minister cum Lenggong Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.
In his speech, Dato' Seri Saarani said today's gathering shows that the arrival of Syawal is not just a religious celebration but rather an event that unites the various cultures and traditions of people from different races and religions to celebrate the beauty of Aidilfitri with the spirit of togetherness.
"Not just in Kota Tampan, Lenggong, but all over the country, people of various races, cultures and religions celebrate the arrival of Aidilfitri by reviving the traditional practice of open houses for visiting relatives and close friends; thus highlighting the spirit of tolerance and respect that has long been the pillar of strength for Malaysians.
"That strength, for so long, has been a fortress in defending the nation’s peace and harmony. It is nurtured thanks to the bonds of brotherhood and unity among the people, including in Perak, which is always strong in cooperation, fosters the spirit of togetherness and rejects the culture of division," he elaborated.
Concluding the event, Sultan Nazrin mingled with the people around the grounds of KKTM.
