Perak State Government Provides PdPR Studios For Educators.

IPOH, 28 July 2021- The Perak State Government has channelled RM125,000 to the Perak Education Department (JPN) for the purpose of providing Home-Based Teaching and Learning (PdPR) studios in all District Education Offices throughout the state.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad said it was a continuation of the Cikgu Saarani Tuition programme introduced last February.

“This initiative aims to help educators provide materials for PdPR which is the new norm due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The studio can also be utilised for online sports (eSports) briefing sessions," he said.

He said this after the virtual Kasih Ibu Darul Ridzuan (KIDR) Programme Launch Ceremony at the Menteri Besar's Office, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here.

Also present were State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Education, Higher Education and Human Resources Committee Chairman Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud and State Youth, Sports, Communication and Multimedia Committee Chairman Khairul Shahril Mohamed.

Dato' Saarani added that the state government also channelled RM15,000 for implementing the Perak School Sports Council eChallenge 2021.

"eChallenge under the Perak Schools Sports Council will involve 24 types of online sports games," he said.

The state government had launched the Cikgu Saarani Tuition Programme on 3 February with the aim of helping students sitting for the major examinations in Perak.

Also benefiting directly from the programme are more than 200,000 major examination candidates, including Forms One and Four students and Year One pupils.
