TANJUNG MALIM, 8 April 2021- A total of 215 women traders from all over Perak received BizNita Kiosk aid with a unique and mobile design to make it easier for them to do business.

The kiosk aid is a special initiative under the State Women, Family and Community Welfare Development and NGO Committee portfolio.

Its chairman, Dato' Dr. Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin said the initiative enables women traders to increase family income, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We have made innovations by using a custom made design where we have discussed with the kiosk maker to ensure that it makes it easier for women traders to do business.

“This kiosk has an umbrella, and is portable, light and foldable to put in the car. Hence, it is very suitable for women traders who need to carry their goods by themselves.

She said this after the Women Small Traders Kiosk Equipment Aid (BizNita) Handover Ceremony at the Behrang Station Hall here.

The ceremony was officiated by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad in conjunction with the Tanjung Malim Parliamentary Constituency Menteri Besar-With-Rakyat (MESRA) Programme.

At the programme, a total of 12 traders from Tapah, Teluk Intan and Tanjung Malim received the kiosk aid.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and Slim State Assemblyman Mohd Zaidi Aziz.

Dato' Dr. Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin added that the recipients of such aid involved all races, namely Malay, Indian, Chinese and Orang Asli.

“For today's launch, we have handed over the kiosks to 12 recipients, while for the rest we will hand over in other districts. The allocation for the kiosks is about RM350,000.

"As it will be the month of Ramadan soon, they can use the kiosks to do business in suitable locations," she said.
