IPOH, 12 April 2021 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad today launched the book "Principal and Principalship" published by the Perak Malaysian School Principals Council (MPSM) Alumni.

The launch was held in conjunction with the Perak Menteri Besar’s Friendly Gathering with MPSM Alumni and Perak Educator Leadership at Dewan Serbaguna, Laman Seri Ridzuan.

MPSM Alumni Chairman Muhammad Razi Abdul Jabar said the book is a collection of stories and experiences of Principals who have served in Perak managing the teaching and learning in schools.

He also thanked the Menteri Besar who has agreed to sponsor the book which had been distributed to schools in all the districts of Perak since last February, including religious schools and MRSM. Besides that, Muhammad Razi hoped that this book would give a positive impetus to his friends who are still working to lead the school towards greater excellence.

Meanwhile, Dato' Saarani in his speech said he was honoured to be able to launch the book.

"Experience is very important because it is not sold in shops or in lecture halls," said the Menteri Besar, who is also a former educator.

According to him, compared to when he became a teacher in 1982, teachers now have more manpower and assistants to ensure that all work tasks can be carried out more smoothly while collaborating to develop the school.
