LENGGONG, 16 April 2021 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad officiated the Perak State Level Fun Celebrating Raya Programme 2021 Launch Ceremony with 100 orphans at Dewan Kompleks Komuniti Desa KEMAS Lenggong here today.

The programme aims to alleviate the burden of asnaf, orphans and B40 family members by providing aid in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

The ceremony was blessed with the recitation of the holy verses of the Quran by Muhammad Hazim Khuzairi, a Year 5 student of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampar. He is the State Level Quran Recitation Competition Champion.

Also present were State Women, Family and Community Welfare Development and NGO Committee Chairman Dato’ Dr Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin and Perak Women and Community Development (Wanita Perak) Secretariat Director Srihartini Shamsudin.

 “The state government has allocated RM465,000.00 for special Hari Raya aid amounting to RM150.00 per person for the execution of this programme, which targets a total of 3,100 recipients throughout Perak. Each recipient will receive a set of baju kurung, baju melayu, tudung, samping, songkok and raya cookies," Dato’ Dr Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin said in her speech at the ceremony.

Wanita Perak in collaboration with departments / agencies, namely Lenggong District and Land Office and Lenggong District Council, together will help make this programme a success. To realise the objective of this programme, Pasaraya Sakan is tasked to distribute this aid to the 59 state constituencies in Perak.

The Perak Menteri Besar in his speech also reminded visitors and traders of the Ramadan bazaar to always abide by the standard operating procedure (SOP) guidelines.
