The Perak Menteri Besar delivering his welcoming speech.

IPOH, 21 April 2021- Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad was present to enliven the Breaking Fast Ceremony with NGOs and Media at Laman Seri Perak here.

Dato' Saarani Mohamad in his welcoming speech said this is the second year for Muslims to celebrate the fasting month in the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

"To break the chain of the pandemic, I hope that all parties comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) set.

"Besides that, I would like to advise all parties to immediately register to get the Covid-19 vaccine injection as well as helping to promote the campaign so that more people register," he said.

Also present were State Women, Family and Community Welfare Development and NGO Committee Chairman Dato’ Dr. Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin, State Youth, Sports, Communications and Multimedia Committee Chairman Khairul Shahril Mohamed and Perak Media Practitioners Association (PPMP) Chairman Sayed Mohd Hesyam Sayed Idris.

Immediately after the breaking of fast, Dato' Saarani and the guests present performed Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers.

At the ceremony, the Menteri Besar presented donations to orphans from Rumah Anak Yatim An Nur, Rumah Anak Yatim Darussalam and Disabled Persons (OKU) around Ipoh City.
