Thanksgiving Ceremony In Conjunction With Hrh Sultan Of Perak's Birthday.

KUALA KANGSAR, 5 November 2021: About 200 congregants attended the “Majlis Kesyukuran dan Doa Selamat” (Thanksgiving Ceremony) held in conjunction with the 65th Birthday of HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah at the Ubudiah Mosque, Bukit Chandan here today.

HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah also attended the ceremony which started at 12.20pm.

The ceremony took place in compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of COVID-19 with each congregant required to comply with physical distancing, including bringing their own prayer mat, wearing face mask, recording attendance and body temperature check.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Exco members and Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk) Director Dato' Mohd Yusop Husin.

Deputy Perak Mufti Dato’ Zamri Hashim led the Surah Yasin Reading and Doa Selamat Ceremony, followed by a sermon entitled “Raja Pemerintah; Payung Kedalautan Negara” and Friday prayers led by Ubudiah Mosque Chief Imam Badrul Husaini Baharuddin.

In Friday's sermon, Badrul Husaini said the people of Perak are blessed to have a Sultan who has a passion for knowledge besides carrying out his rule with humility, compassion for the people's grievances and strive to ensure justice based on law.

Meanwhile, the Yassin Reading and Doa Selamat Ceremony was also performed simultaneously in mosques throughout the state, led by the Territorial Chiefs and district officers respectively.
