The Perak Menteri Besar delivering his speech during the State Awards Investiture Ceremony.

KUALA KANGSAR, 14 November 2021 - A total of 38 individuals were conferred awards at the State Awards Investiture Ceremony first series held in conjunction with HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah’s 65th Birthday celebration at Istana Iskandariah here today

The 38 individuals comprised 19 recipients for 2020 and 19 for 2021, involving awards which carry the titles of Dato' Seri, Dato’ Seri Panglima, Dato' and Dato' Pahlawan.

Heading the list of recipients was Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad who was conferred the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP) which carries the title Dato' Seri.

Next were Armed Forces Chief General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Affendi Buang and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, who received the Darjah Seri Panglima Taming Seri (SPTS) which carries the title Dato' Seri Panglima for 2020.

State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and State Legal Advisor Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin were conferred the Darjah Dato' Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (DPCM) which carries the title Dato’ for 2020 and 2021 recipients.

Also present were HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja Puan Besar Raja Nazhatul Shima Sultan Idris Shah, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah, HH Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim and state government leaders.

HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah also bestowed the Darjah Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP) which carries the title Dato to 13 recipients for 2021.

Among the recipients were Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato’ Norsham Rahman, State Head of Protocol and Ceremonies Toh Jana Pahlawan SAC (B) Dato’ Abu Bakar Romlee, Prime Minister's Department Research Division Deputy Director-General Dato' Abdul Halim Ashaari, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Arham Abdul Rahman, Universiti Malaya Neurology Division Head Dato' Prof Dr. Goh Khean Jin, Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun Consultant Pediatrician Dato' Dr. Jeyaseelan A/L P. Nachiappan, Bagan Datuk Territorial Chief Toh Seri Lela Paduka Dato' Prof Dr. Khalid Ismail, Perak Royal Malaysian Customs Director Dato' Dr. Mohamad Saprin, Malaysia Chemistry Department Director-General Dato’ Mohamed Zaini Abdul Rahman, Perak Forestry Department Director Dato’ Mohamed Zin Yusop, Perak Education Director Dato’ Dr. Mohd Suhaimi Mohamed Ali, Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta Director Dato' Dr. Hayati Nordin and Berita Harian Group Editor Dato' Saidon Idris. 

His Royal Highness also conferred the Darjah Dato' Pahlawan Taming Sari (DPTS) which carries the title Dato’ Pahlawan to 4 recipients for 2021. 

Among the recipients were RMAF Air Operations Command Headquarters Chief of Staff Major General Dato' Pahlawan Felix Gonsalvez A/L Alexander, RMN Naval Region 2 Commander Rear Admiral Dato' Pahlawan Rusli Ahmad, Lumut Armed Forces Hospital Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon Brigadier General Dato' Pahlawan Dr. Musa Kasmin and Perak Criminal Investigation Department Chief SAC Dato' Pahlawan Anuar Othman. 

At this year's celebration, HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah consented to bestow 192 honours, awards and medals in conjunction with His Birthday. 

The investiture ceremony for the next series will be organised according to the date approved by His Royal Highness and subject to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the state at the time.
