HRH Sultan of Perak receiving business zakat totalling RM6,095,402.30 from TNB, represented by Baharin, for MAIPk at a ceremony at Istana Perak, Bukit Changkat Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

KUALA LUMPUR, 6 December 2021 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzudin Shah received business zakat totalling RM7,809,259.80 from six corporate companies for the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) at Istana Perak, Bukit Changkat Persekutuan today.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), represented by its Chief Executive Officer Datuk Ir. Baharin Din, was the biggest contributor of business zakat with RM6,095,402.30.

This was followed by Etiqa Family Takaful Berhad and Etiqa General Takaful Berhad, represented by Dr. Abdul Rahim Abdul Rahman (Syariah Committee Member), with business zakat totalling RM775,000.00.

Meanwhile, FGV Holdings Berhad Group Chairman Dato' Dzulkifli Abd Wahab handed over business zakat amounting to RM577,752.30.

Also handing over their business zakat were Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan (M) Berhad (Angkasa), represented by Angkasa Perak Liaison Committee Mohd Rosli Basri, with RM221,105.20 and GITN Sdn. Bhd. Head of Services & Corporate Management Norfaizah Mohd Puad with RM140,000.00.

Also present were Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Jen. Dato’ Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin, MAIPk Council Member Professor Dato' Dr. Ansary Ahmed and MAIPk Chief Executive Officer Shahrul Azam Shaari.
