Civil Servants Sincere In Carrying Out Responsibilities For The People

IPOH, 1 April 2022 - Civil servants must serve as best as they can in carrying out their responsibilities not just to receive awards but to serve the people sincerely.
Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said this when officiating the Perak State Secretariat Excellent Service Award Ceremony 2021 at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here today.
“The award we received today is an inspiration for us to continue to provide excellent service because what is important is not this award but our sincerity in providing the best service to the state and government.
"This attitude should be made a practice so that all civil servants compete to provide the best service to the people," he said.
He also congratulated the 58 civil servants who were selected to receive the Excellent Service Award 2021.
“I believe this award is not just a mere recognition, but a joint effort to enculturise excellence fully from the aspects of management and service delivery in order to provide excellent work to the people.
"This is because whatever rank and position we hold, we all have an important role in carrying out the trust and upholding the good name of the departments and agencies that we oversee," he added.
State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim hoped that the award received can be a catalyst for outcomes and quality of work in the future.
“Civil servants in the State Secretariat are like a big family and the pulse of the state administration in realising the Menteri Besar’s hopes to make Perak a rapid developing state. To maintain close ties as a family is not easy, but it can be fostered if done with the right intentions," he said.
Also present were State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Zulazlan Abu Hassan, State Exco members and Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato’ Nor Sham Rahman.
