IPOH, 29 May 2022 – The Malaysian Government Servants’ Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSAK) Games 2022 - Arts Festival and Tenpin Bowling ended with great joy with the involvement of participants as well as its organisation.
State Financial Officer cum Deputy President of MAKSAK Perak Dato' Zulazlan Abu Hassan said a big tournament like this would not be successful without the support of various agencies such as the Perak State Broadcasting Department, Ampang Superbowl Ipoh Parade, and other parties involved directly or indirectly.
“This tournament is a platform to cultivate a sports culture among civil servants. With the support from all parties, a tournament like this has become even more meaningful.
"Besides that, this exposure needs to be continuous and implemented systematically so that the impact can be achieved later," he said.
He said this in his speech at the Closing Ceremony of MAKSAK Games 2022 - Arts Festival and Tenpin Bowling at the Perak State Secretariat Banquet Hall here.
Also present were MAKSAK Malaysia Secretary-General Raden Hedly Shah Radin Muhamad Hambali, Perak Sports Council Director Mazlan Mohamad, team managers, coaches and players.
Dato' Zulazlan added that the tournament was a medium for finding and polishing talent as well as strengthening brotherhood among civil servants.
“Sports activities should be the culture of Malaysians towards improving health and quality of life. Indeed, a healthy mind in a healthy body proves the importance of sports activities in life that will ultimately harmonise one’s life journey.
"I strongly encourage all civil servants to seize opportunities like this as such tournaments can cultivate positive values and improve the quality of our life and wellbeing and become quality human capital," he said.
Perak was chosen as the host for the event from 26 to 29 May, held at two different locations, i.e., the arts festival at Auditorium RTM Perak and the tenpin bowling at Ampang Superbowl Ipoh Parade.
