IPOH, 14 June 2022 - The Menteri Besar Bersama Rakyat (MESRA) Programme was held for the first time specially for women who have an important role to play in shaping the future.

Perak Menteri Besar’s wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin officiated the Executive Talk ‘Wanita Inspirasi Keluarga in conjunction with the MESRA KAWAN Wanita Perak Carnival 2022’ Closing Ceremony at Laman Seri Ridzuan this afternoon.

“Words of wisdom like ‘the hand that rocks the cradle can shake the world’ and ‘the mother is the school’ show how great a woman’s role and influence are in our society.

"As a woman, we need to be an inspiration and idol to our families who will shape the future leaders of this country," she said in her speech at the event.

Earlier, the ceremony was enlivened with a knowledge sharing session by the famous speaker Dato’ Dr Mashitah Ibrahim.

After that, Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad held a forum session with the audience on the important role of women in advancing every policy launched in Perak.

"In front of me is a gathering of women who work hard as a wife, mother and career woman who develops human capital and then works together to achieve policy goals in the state. Without women, I would not be able do this task alone,” he said during the forum session.

Before the carnival ended, Dato' Seri Saarani presented contributions to associations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that always help and support women.

Also present were State Women, Family, Community Welfare and NGO Development Committee Chairman Datuk Dr. Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin, Perak State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid’s wife Datin Aznee Abu Samah and Women and Community Development Secretariat (SPW) Director Srihartini Mohamed Shamsudin.
