Perak GLCs Donate 352 Sacrificial Cows.

IPOH, 4 July 2022 - The Perak State Government received a donation of 352 sacrificial cows worth RM2,632,000 from Perak Government-Linked Companies (GLCs).
The donation was delivered through State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, representing Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad.
The GLCs involved were the Perak Water Board (LAP) with 50 cows worth RM300,000, Perak State Development Corporation (PKNP) 12 cows worth RM72,000, State Agricultural Development Corporation (SADC) 230 cows worth RM1,660,000, MB Inc 40 cows worth RM 240,000 and State Secretary Inc 60 cows worth RM360,000.
The sacrificial cow will be distributed to mosques, suraus and slaughterhouses in all 59 state constituencies and coordinated by Muslim state assemblymen.
For constituencies with non-Muslim assemblyman, the distribution of sacrificial cows will be coordinated by the respective District Religious Administration Officer.
Also present at the event were State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Exco members, Deputy State Mufti Dato' Zambri Hashim, LAP GM Dato' Ishak Abdul Rahman, PKNP CEO Datuk Redza Rafik Abdul Razak, SADC CEO Yahanis Yahya, Norafzanizam Abdul Manan representing MB Inc and Zulkefli Abdullah representing SSI.
Meanwhile, a specific guideline focusing on aspects of wakalah or contract between the parties involved will be distributed to ensure that the programme carried out is based on the syarak commandments.
The carrying out of ibadah korban must comply with other regulations issued by the relevant authorities such as the Perak State Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk), National Security Council (MKN) and Veterinary Services Department (JPV).
