The Bintang Semangat Rimba Kelas Kedua Perak was awarded to State Secretary cum PPM Perak Deputy President Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

IPOH, 16 July 2022 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah conferred Stars, Medals and King's Scout Certificates of the Scout Association of Malaysia (PPM) Perak 2022 on 315 recipients.

His Royal Highness' arrival at the award ceremony in the Perak State Secretariat Banquet Hall was welcomed by Acting National Chief Scout Major General Professor Dato' Dr Mohd Zin Bidin, accompanied by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and Perak PPM Chief Commissioner Ahmad Azam Shah Abd Majid.

Heading the list of recipients was PPM Perak President Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, who was awarded the Bintang Semangat Padi Kelas Kedua Perak (BSP-ll).

The Bintang Semangat Rimba Kelas Kedua Perak was awarded to State Secretary cum PPM Perak Deputy President Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Youth, Sports and Communication Committee chairman Khairul Shahril Mohamed, State Education, Higher Education and Human Resources Committee chairman cum PPM Perak Vice President Saidi Mohamed Daud and State Education Director Aznan Alias.

The King's Scout Certificate Award was presented to 222 recipients comprising Boy Scout members in 2019 and 2020 who had successfully completed the badge scheme in the school scout movement.

Major General Professor Dato' Dr Mohd Zin Bidin said PPM will be more dynamic and committed to implement the PPM Strategic Plan 2018-2023 and the 11 Main Focuses of the National Scout Movement.

Among them are digitalisation, smart asset management, empowerment of Sustainable Development Goals, empowerment of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and development of Community-Based Scouting.

"The story of the scout movement in Malaysia should be told to future generations so that it can be a platform for the nation's human capital development," he said.
