TVET 4.0 Graduates Need To Be Highly Skilled To Meet Industry Demands.

IPOH, 11 September 2022 - The pace of Industry 4.0 will now be more challenging with the clash between the dependence on human labour and robotic machines created by humans themselves.
State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim said this when officiating the Perak Community College Convocation Ceremony 2022 at Dewan Jubli Perak, Politeknik Ungku Omar this morning.
"In line with the Industrial Revolution 4.0, we need to provide a highly skilled workforce to meet the rapidly and drastically changing demands of the industry.
"Graduates need to be competitive with a high level of competence and well-informed, besides having high communication skills," he said when speaking at the ceremony.
He added that through the Malaysian Education Development Plan, TVET 4.0 aims to produce quality graduates.
"TVET 4.0 is based on new forms of teaching and learning, responsive and sustainable governance, applied research approaches, new innovations and technology-driven talents," he said.
He also congratulated the 973 graduates from 13 Community Colleges in Perak who received their Community College Diplomas and Certificates.
Also present were Pasir Salak Community College Director cum 2022 Perak Community College Convocation Ceremony Chairman Roziah Ismail, Polytechnic and Community College Education Department Senior Director (Competency) Rosless Yahya and Directors of Perak Community College Chairman Meor M. Sharifuddin Meor Shukri.
Meanwhile, the Director-General’s Award was presented to Ibrahim Sulaiman and the Community College Entrepreneur Award to Nur Amalya Faqihah Mat Zafri. Both obtained the Diploma in Patisserie with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.95.
Currently, Ibrahim Sulaiman is working at La Vie En Rose Patisserie, Penang, while Nur Amalya Faqihah Mat Zafri is working at Amalya Cake Garden, Kedah.
