IPOH, 13 September 2022 - Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad received a courtesy visit from Minister of National Unity Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique at Bilik Gerakan, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan.

The courtesy visit was to give a briefing on the Management and Development of Chinese New Villages and Keluarga Malaysia Unity Semarak Programme by the National Unity Ministry (KPN).

The National Unity Ministry also presented an allocation of RM7 million to the Perak State Government to manage and develop Chinese New Villages projects.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, National Integration and Civil Society Committee Chairman Dato' Abdul Yunus Jamahri and KPN Deputy Secretary-General Dr. Kang Tong Hum

The Keluarga Malaysia Unity Semarak Programme was held in Johor last June. It was also held in Selangor at the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) Exhibition 2022, MAEPS in Serdang to instill the spirit of unity among the multiracial people in this country.
