IPOH, 17 September 2022 - The Perak State Government via Pusat Aspirasi Anak Perak (PASAK) has launched the Talent Perak application, a platform for Perakians to find employment opportunities.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said the application can now be downloaded by users on smartphones from the Google Play Store.

"Through the application, search for vacancies can be done according to demographic categories, industry, studies and positions that are close to the user's location.

"Talent Perak is currently in the Beta version stage and PASAK will seek input and feedback from users to ensure that the application can be accessed smoothly," he said.

He said this in a press conference after officiating the Youth Carnival (KAMU)@Lokein-O-Rama Carnival and Talent Perak Application Launch Ceremony at Stadium Indera Mulia here today.

Also present were State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Education, Higher Education and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud, State Youth, Sports, Communications and Multimedia Committee Chairman Khairul Shahril Mohamed, State Infrastructure, Energy, Water and Public Transport Committee Chairman Dato' Haji Mohd Zolkafly Harun and PASAK Director Mohd Misbahul Munir Masduki.

Dato' Seri Saarani added that the application was one of the state government's efforts in providing job opportunities and preparing the skilled workforce needed by the industry.

"In addition, it is also one of the solutions to improve the marketability of Perak graduates.

"This is in line with the state government’s commitment to open new industrial areas besides meeting increasing demand from multinational companies to open or expand their operations in the state," he said.

Earlier, Dato' Seri Saarani witnessed the exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) documents between PASAK, Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) and the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) to implement youth development programmes in Perak.
