Perak State Assembly Expresses Sympathy, Condolences To Batang Kali Landslide Victims.

The Perak State Assembly observing a minute’s silence to honour and commemorate the landslide tragedy victims at the Father's Organic Farm campsite in Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor.
IPOH, 21 December 2022 - The Second Meeting of the First Year of the 15th Perak State Assembly this morning observed a minute’s silence to honour and commemorate the victims of the landslide tragedy at the Father's Organic Farm campsite, Jalan Genting Highlands-Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor, last Friday.
State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Dato' Abdul Khalid expressed the sympathy and condolences of the Perak State Assembly to the families of the victims before asking all the assemblymen to observe a minute’s silence while the Muslim assemblymen recited the Al-Fatihah.
"On behalf of the State Assembly, I would like to express my sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims of the landslide tragedy in Batang Kali.
"It was an unexpected tragedy, but felt by everyone in the country. May the victims’ families remain strong through this ordeal,” he said.
He said this in his speech before the start of the Second Meeting of the First Year of the 15th Perak State Assembly at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here.
He added that the Perak State Assembly also expressed its appreciation to all the security forces and personnel involved in the search and rescue mission.
"I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the security forces and personnel involved in making the search and rescue mission a success," he said.
Meanwhile, so far, 25 victims have been confirmed dead and 61 people survived out of a total of 94 victims involved in the landslide tragedy at the Fathers' Organic Farm campsite in Batang Kali.
