IPOH, 15 January 2023 - The Perak State Government in collaboration with Perak Tenpin Bowling Association (PTBA) organised an Inter-District Tenpin Bowling Tournament in conjunction with HRH Sultan of Perak’s Birthday 2022 at Ipoh Bowl, Rooftop Kinta City Shopping Centre (AEON) here.

The two-day tournament on 14 and 15 January was officiated by State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

A total of seven events were contested at the tournament and the most enthralling was the VVIP Men's and Women's categories which saw the clash between the Istana Kinta Perak Team and Perak Menteri Besar Team.

There were also prizes for the different inter-district categories: Junior Boys and Girls, Men and Women, District Officers VIP Invitation and Children (boys and girls).

The Men's VVIP category was won by the Istana Kinta Perak Team.

In the category, the highest number of pins knocked down or high game was won by Asmirul Raiza from the Istana Kinta Team, while the Potential Player Award was won by Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation Chief Executive Officer Yahanis Yahya, representing Perak Menteri Besar’s office.

The Perak Menteri Besar Team won the VVIP Women's category and the highest number of pins knocked down was achieved by former National Tenpin Bowling Queen Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi, representing the Istana Kinta Team, while the VVIP Women Potential Player Award was won by Datin Khairiyah Abdul Kadir.

In the VIP Invitation category for district officers, Kinta District Officer Meor Hezbullah Meor Abdul Malek won first place, Kampar District Officer Nazrul Fazami Mohamad second and Kerian District Officer Mohd Sabli Bakri third.

Also present to enliven the event were State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee Chairman, State Assemblymen, PTBA President Toh Indera Jaya Dato' Ishak Mohamed, Perak Dewan Negara Members as well as Territorial Chiefs.
