IPOH, 18 January 2023 - The Perak State Government is targeting 40,000 guests to attend the State Level Chinese New Year 2023 open house at the Lost World of Tambun (LWOT) Theme Park on 29 January.

State Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee Chairman Loh Sze Yee said this at a press conference at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan this afternoon.

According to him, HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah has consented to grace the event which will start from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Government Ex-Officio and State Exco members are also expected to attend the open house.

He added that the state government welcomes the presence of everyone to imbibe the spirit of goodwill regardless of race and celebrate the Chinese New Year festival together.

"This location was chosen as it is one of the tourism icons in Perak in line with Visit Ipoh Year 2023.

"As one of the icons of tourism, we believe that many people want to experience the fun at LWOT but were unable to, so in conjunction with the Chinese New Year holiday we take this opportunity for them to enter LWOT for free and partake in the activities provided," he elaborated.

He also advised the visitors to follow the organisers’ instructions so that the celebration could run smoothly.
