TUALANG SEKAH, 4 February 2023 – The organising of PerakFM WOW Carnival could be the best platform to bring government departments and agencies closer to the community.

State Communications, Multimedia and NGO Committee chairman Mohd Azlan Helmi said such programmes make it easier for the community to settle their affairs, especially on weekends.

"Most people if they want to deal with an agency, they need to do it on a weekday, which usually is their working day, so we ask for the help of all the agencies to come together to make it easier for them.

Besides, the weekend can be best utilised by local residents with various opportunities and facilities provided by government departments and agencies," he said.

He said this in a press conference after officiating the PerakFM WOW Carnival 'Tualang Sekah Kita Bersaudara' at Arena Rakyat Tualang Sekah here.

Also present were Malim Nawar State Assemblyman Shasha Veriah and Perak Broadcasting Department Director Syazariah Majidi.

Mohd Azlan Helmi added that this initiative was a follow-up to the Perak Menteri Besar’s efforts at the Meet the Clients Day, a platform for the people to meet with the state leaders and administration to resolve their problems.

"A total of 17 departments and agencies are involved in this programme, including Kampar District and Land Office, Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission, Perak Foundation, the National Anti-Drug Agency, Ministry of Health Malaysia and many more.

"In addition to the service counter, local residents can do health screening and also a free motorcycle inspection provided at the Tapah Hospital and Road Transport Department," he said.

Meanwhile, in addition to services and exhibitions, a corporate social responsibility programme was also held to help the less fortunate people in the area.
