Chief Secretary Heads List Of Perak Award Recipients.

Kuala Kangsar, 4 March 2023 - Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Zuki Ali headed the list of 22 recipients of Honours and Medals in conjunction with HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah’s 66th Birthday last November.

The list of recipients was part of the 212 recipients announced on 3 November last year.

Tan Sri Mohd Zuki, who was appointed as the 15th Chief Secretary of Government on 1 January 2020, was conferred the Darjah Dato' Seri Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (SPCM) which carries the title Dato' Seri.

HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah consented to confer the honours and medals in an investiture ceremony at Istana Iskandariah here.

Also in attendance were HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and HH Raja Puan Besar Raja Nazhatul Shima Sultan Idris Shah.

Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim and wife Datin Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Deputy Prime Minister Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Perak Menteri Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, Members of Parliament and Perak State Assemblymen were also present.

After Tan Sri Mohd Zuki was Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, who received the Darjah Dato' Seri Panglima Taming Sari (SPTS) which carries the title Dato' Seri Panglima, while Malaysian Ministry of Transport Secretary-General Datuk Isham Ishak received the Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (DPCM) which carries the title Dato'.

The Darjah Dato' Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP) which carries the title Dato' was conferred on 14 recipients. They were Perak Chief Syarie Judge Ab. Rahman Thobroni Mohd Mansor, Malaysian High Commissioner to London Datuk Zakri Jaafar, Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Secretary General Datuk Rosli Isa, Treasury Deputy Secretary-General Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin, Shah Alam High Court Judge S M Komathy Suppiah and National Archives Director-General Jaafar Sidek Abdul Rahman.

The other recipients were State Development Director Shamshuzaman Sulaiman, Public Works Department Integrated Asset Management Branch Senior Director Ir. Zulkipli Nasri, Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital Infectious Disease Medical Consultant Dr. Ker Hong Bee, National Heart Institute Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery Department Dr. Alwi Mohamed Yunus, Karangkraf Media Group Sdn Bhd Board of Directors Chairman Datuk Dr. Hussamuddin Jacob, Sunway University Group Executive Officer Prof. Dr. Lee Fuh Yen, Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Mubarak Ali Gulam Rasul and Selangor and Federal Territory Eurasian Association President Sheila Eleanor De Costa. 

Former Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) Commissioner the late Datin Paduka Prof. Dr Hajah Mehrun Siraj, represented by her husband Dato' Sulaiman Abdullah, received the award posthumously.

HRH Sultan Nazrin also conferred the Darjah Dato' Pahlawan Taming Sari (DPTS) which carries the title Dato Pahlawan to five recipients, namely Malaysian Armed Forces Western Fleet Engineers Commander Major General Abdul Hamid Mohd Isa, Malaysian Armed Forces Defence Advisor Brigadier General Safwan@Asri Ismail, Malaysian Army Headquarters Royal Medical Corps Brigadier General Dr. Mohd Ghazalli Mohd Taha, Malaysian Armed Forces Inspector-General Rear Admiral Abd Halim Shaari and Perak Police Contingent Headquarters Special Branch Head SAC Shazeli Kahar.
