Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad making a survey of the entrepreneurs’ goods at the celebration.

IPOH, 19 March 2023 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad officiated the Perak State Level Women's Day Celebration 2023 at Laman Seri Ridzuan this morning.

In his speech, he expressed his thanks for all the love, affection, sacrifice and source of strength given by women in being the main pillars of the family, society, state and country.

"This celebration is to give due recognition to women who have contributed and played an important role in the development of the state of Perak and Malaysia.

"The world becomes better with the presence of women. It doesn't matter what her family background is, her religion or her job.

"Every woman gives meaning to every person in this life. Without them, our life might not be like this," he added.

Earlier, his wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubir flagged off over 900 participants who enlivened the Fun Walk activity themed 'Prosperity Together' in conjunction with the Women's Day Celebration at about 7.40am.

Among the other activities that also brightened up the event were children's colouring contest and cupcake decorating competition.

Also present were State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, Deputy State Assembly Speaker Jenny Choy Tsi Jen, State Women, Family, Social Welfare and Entrepreneur Development Committee Chairman Salbiah Mohamed and Women and Community Development Secretariat (SPW) Director Jamilah Zakaria.
