HRH Sultan Perak Sultan greeting the congregants of Masjid Jamek Taman Yayasan.

TAIPING, 4 April 2023 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced a Breaking of Fast Ceremony and the opening of Masjid Jamek Taman Yayasan here.

The Sultan's arrival at 6.50pm was welcomed by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin and state and federal department heads.

His Royal Highness consented to plant a cinnamon tree (Cinnamomum Verum) and then unveiled the plaque curtains symbolising the opening of the mosque.

Sultan Nazrin then broke fast with more than 500 congregants and performed the Maghrib prayer before proceeding to the reception, followed by the Isyak and Terawih prayers.

HRH Sultan of Perak left at about 10pm after a photo session with the guests and mosque committee.

The Masjid Jamek Taman Yayasan was completed on 5 July 2013 and can accommodate approximately 600 congregants with a main prayer room, imam's room, women's and men's ablutions, funeral management facilities and administrative offices.
