His Royal Highness accompanied by HH Raja Kecil Sulong Raja Dato' Seri Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah Raja Ashman Shah and Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad.

KUALA KANGSAR, 15 April 2023 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah presented the instruments of appointment of state judges and Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) members to 7 recipients in conjunction with the Breaking of Fast Ceremony with Religion and Mosque Officials at Istana Iskandariah here.

Leading the recipients were Perak Syariah Main Court judges, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinuddin and Tan Sri Dato' Seri Balia Yusof Wahi.

Next were the Perak Syariah Court of Appeal judges, namely Datuk Wira Mohtaruddin Baki and Datuk Seri Abdul Razak Musa.

The Perak State Syariah High Court judges were Azman Saad and Muhammad Fauzi Uzir Abd Wahab.

The Sultan consented to the appointment of Harith Fadzilah Abdul Halim as a MAIPk member.

His Royal Highness also consented to receive the Federal Government's allocation of RM77,769,264.00 from Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Senator Dato' Setia Dr. Mohd Na'im Mokhtar.

The allocation was for payments to imam, bilal, siak, takmir and Kafa teachers in Perak for 2023.

At the ceremony, Sultan Nazrin also consented to receive business zakat payments totalling RM2,948,581.03 from six corporate companies. 

The handing over of business zakat was led by Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn Bhd, represented by its Chief Executive Officer Dato' Mubarak Ali Gulam Rasul with RM1,421,512.77. 

Next was P.C.M Sdn Bhd, represented by UniKL Faculty of Medicine Dean Associate Professor Syed Rahim Syed Hamid with RM450,000.00 and Ladang Moccis Sdn Bhd, represented by its Executive Chairman Dato' Ahmad Sobri Wan Teh with RM450,000.00. 

Meanwhile, Puncak Emas Infra Sdn Bhd, represented by Assistant Corporate General Manager Ayob Sahar paid RM327,068.26. 

Then, R&Z Aktiviti Enterprise, represented by its CEO Azim Radin Mustapha Amiruddin paid RM200,000.00 and Belati, represented by Johawaki Group Deputy CEO Mohamad Akmal Johari with RM100,000.00. 

The Sultan then handed over the contributions to MAIPk President Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd. Annuar Zaini. 

Later, His Royal Highness broke fast with 240 Perak Islamic religion and mosque officials before performing the Maghrib, Isya' and Terawih congregational prayers. 

Also gracing the occasion was HH Raja Kecil Sulong Raja Dato' Seri Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah Raja Ashman Shah. 

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Jeneral Dato' Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin (Bersara), State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin and State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin.
