IPOH, 31 July 2023 - HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Perak State Warriors' Day Celebration 2023 at Dataran Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan.

His Royal Highness's arrival at 9am was accompanied by HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, Perak Police Chief Dato' Seri Mohd. Yusri Hassan Basri, Western Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Datuk Abu Bakar Md. Ajis, 2nd Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier General Asri Shukor and State Exco Members

The ceremony began with the singing of the Perak anthem followed by inspection of a guard of honour by the Sultan which consisted of three officers and 103 members of other ranks from the Royal Engineers Regiment, 2 Division, Camp Sangro Taiping led by Major Muhiburahman Khairulanuar and assisted by Lieutenant Muhamad Zulfadzli Abdul Ghani and Warrant Officer 1 Mohamad Fairus Nizam Zabory.

The flag bearer was Lieutenant Muhammad Afiq Aris with a detachment of 400 officers and security force personnel comprising military veterans and retired police officers.

The accompanying band was the KD Pelanduk Brass Band, Royal Malaysian Navy Lumut, with 44 members under band leader Lieutenant Dya Muhamad Ali Rajaie Nor Mohamed.

Once the guard of honour was over, the Last Post was played and the Jalur Gemilang was lowered.

The ceremony continued with the recital of a special Warriors’ Day prayer by Major Mohd. Risal Osman from the 2nd Infantry Brigade Headquarters and a poem entitled 'Pahlawanku' by Captain Sharifudin @ Abu Danial Abu Talib from the 23rd Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment.

Then, the Rouse was played and the Jalur Gemilang was raised again followed by the Perak anthem before the guard of honour exited the parade, marking the end of the ceremony.
