KUALA KANGSAR, 19 August 2023 - HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced The Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) Excellence Award Ceremony here.

The arrival of His Royal Highness was greeted with full ceremony, followed by a choir singing the Perak state anthem accompanied by the MCKK Wind Orchestra at the college’s Tun Abdul Razak Auditorium.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Jen.  Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Dr. Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin (Bersara), State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Education, Higher Education, Youth and State Sports Committee Chairman Khairudin Abu Hanipah and Malay College Kuala Kangsar Principal Mohd Shahadan Abdul Rahman.

At the ceremony, Sultan Nazrin presented awards to 70 former students who achieved the best results in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2022.

The Sultan also presented awards to seven prominent MCKK students who were each awarded the Carey Award, Hasanal Bolkiah Award, Leadership Award, MCKK Foundation Award, MCOBA Award, Principal Award and Parent-Teacher Association Award.

In addition, certificates of appreciation were also presented to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Supervisor Exco, MCKK Supervisory Body Exco, IBDP Year 1 Best Student, Excellent International Language Students and all IBDP students.
