HRH Sultan of Perak presenting prizes to the winners.

IPOH, 19 August 2023 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Programme to Instill Loyalty to the King and Country in conjunction with the Perak State Level National Month Celebration 2023 at Dewan Bankuet, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here.

Also gracing the event were HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja DiHilir Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah and HH Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim.

His Royal Highness’s arrival was welcomed by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, Minister of Communications and Digital Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil and Minister of Education Fadhlina Sidek.

The programme, jointly organised by the Perak State Secretariat and State Education Department, aimed to form a national identity with an understanding and appreciation of the second principle of the Rukun Negara, i.e., loyalty to the king and the country among school students in Perak.

In order to achieve that objective, various competitions have been designed and held, such as Pidato Diraja competition, Malay and English essay writing, poetry writing, caricature drawing, poster drawing, bicara berirama and choral speaking.

At the event, Sultan Nazrin presented prizes to the champions of the Malay and English public speaking competitions for upper secondary schools, which were won by Rafaa Ahmad Muneer from SMK Agama Kerian and Muhammad Asyraf Rosman from SMK Buyong Adil, Batang Padang. Each received cash RM750 and a challenge trophy.

The Sultan also presented prizes to the winners of the poetry writing, caricature drawing, bicara berirama and choral speaking competitions.

Also present were Perak Dewan Negara Member Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members and heads of departments and agencies.
