Perak To Launch Perak Sejahtera Rental Scheme Programme.

MANJUNG, 21 August 2023 - The state government through the Perak Housing and Real Property Board (LPHP) will start a new programme called the Perak Sejahtera Rental Scheme.
Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said this when officiating the Handover Ceremony of Keys for Rumah Perakku in Taman Serdang, Sitiawan, this afternoon.
"Through this scheme, tenants will be given a discount of 20 percent from the current rental rate and will benefit those who are not yet able to own their own houses. The programme will start with 12 units of Affordable Houses in Taman Perakku, Serdang," he said.
He added that LPHP also suggested that the household income eligibility limit for Low-Cost House buyers be raised from RM3,860 to RM5,000 a month.
"This proposal will be brought to the Perak State Council Meeting (MMK) in the near future for consideration," he said.
At the same event, he handed over Rumah Perakku Taman Serdang keys to 447 buyers, comprising 100 units of low-cost houses and 347 units of affordable single-storey terrace houses. It involved the development in an area of 29 acres at a cost of RM55.3 million.
Also present were Manjung Territorial Chief Toh Seri Bijaya Lieutenant Colonel Dato' Shaharudin Nazari (Retired), State Housing and Local Government Committee Chairman Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, Manjung District Officer Shamsul Ridzuan Idris, Perak Land and Mines Director Dato' Mohamad Fariz Mohamad Hanip and Perak Housing and Real Property Board Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Akmal Dahalan.
