Perak Mufti Dato' Seri Wan Zahidi Wan Teh led the list of 24 recipients of the Perak State Awards.

KUALA KANGSAR, 5 November 2023 - Perak Mufti Dato' Seri Wan Zahidi Wan Teh led the list of 24 recipients of the Perak State Awards in conjunction with the Birthday of HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah 1445H/2023M.

Wan Zahid, appointed as Perak Mufti on 1 August 2022, was conferred the Dato' Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP) which carries the title Dato' Seri.

Also conferred the SPMP was Public Services Director-General (KPPA)  Dato' Seri Dr. Zulkapli Mohamed.

The Perak State awards were bestowed by HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah in a ceremony at Istana Iskandariah here.

Accompanying His Royal Highness was HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim.

Also gracing the occasion were HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Nazhatul Shima Sultan Idris Shah, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah and HH Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. (Rtd) Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, Deputy Prime Minister Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Dato' Seri Razarudin Husain, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Exco Members, Members of Parliament, State Assemblymen and heads of state and federal departments.

Following the list of SPMP recipients were Armed Forces Commander General Tan Sri Datuk Seri Mohammad Ab Rahman and Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, who received the Dato' Seri Panglima Taming Sari (SPTS) which carries the title Dato' Seri Panglima.

The Dato' Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (DPCM) was conferred on State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin.

A total of 14 recipients were conferred the Dato' Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP) which carries the title Dato'.

Among them were State Women, Family, Social Welfare and Entrepreneur Development Committee Chairman Dato' Salbiah Mohamed, Malaysian High Commissioner to India Dato' Muzafar Shah Mustafa, Cardiologist and former Deputy Health Minister Dato' Dr. Lee Boon Chye, NSTP Group Managing Editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman and Universiti Teknologi Petronas Vice-Chancellor Dato' Professor Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib.

Also conferred the DPMP were Finance Ministry Strategic Investment Division Secretary Dato' Nor Eni Ismail, Perak Public Works Department Director Hamdan Ali, Perak Education Department Director Dato' Mohamad Fauzi Mahson, Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital Director Dato' Dr. Megat Iskandar Megat Abdul Hamid and Perak Agriculture Development Corporation CEO Dato' Yahanis Yahya.

The other DPMP recipients were CST Auto Group of Companies CEO Dato' P. Chandrasekaran, former Perak State Parks Corporation Director Dato' Mohamed Shah Redza Hussein, Perak Hockey Association President Dato' Mohd Saiyuti Abd Samat and Shah Alam High Court Judge Dato' S.M Komathy Suppiah who is the recipient for 2022.

The Darjah Dato' Pahlawan Taming Sari (DPTS) which carries the title Dato' Pahlawan was bestowed on five recipients, namely Royal Malaysian Navy Inspector-General Rear Admiral Dato' Mohd Fadzli Kamal Mohd Mohaldin, Police International Relations Chief SAC Dato' R. Suparamaniam, 2nd Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier-General Dato' Asri Shukor, Geospatial Defence Division Director Brigadier-General Dato' Sr. Dr. Mohd Zambri Mohamad Rabab and former Malaysian Armed Forces Health Services Director-General Brigadier-General (Rtd) Dato' Dr. Leong Weng Foon.

At the ceremony, HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah also bestowed the Seniman Diraja (Royal Artist) Award on Dato' Mohammad Nor Khalid or Dato' Lat.

The award was in recognition of the immense and meaningful role and contribution by the great artist in introducing and bringing glory to Malaysia on the international stage.

The list of recipients was part of the 238 recipients announced on 2 November 2023.
