The Tokoh Guru Award was awarded to Zulkifli Ahmad.

IPOH, 9 November 2023 - HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Perak Islamic Education Excellence Award Ceremony 1445H/2023M at Hotel Casuarina@Meru here.

His Royal Highness’ arrival was welcomed by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad.

Also present were Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Jen. Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin (Rtd), State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini and Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk) Director Harith Fadzilah Abdul Halim.

At the ceremony, Sultan Nazrin presented a total of 120 awards comprising 24 categories.

The Tokoh Guru Award was awarded to Zulkifli Ahmad.

As for the other awards, 32 individuals received the Shahadah Addirosat Al-Islamiah Shahadah Award for the 2020/2021 session and 29 received the Shahadah Addirosat Al-Islamiah Award 2021/2022.

A total of 30 students received the Hafiz Muda Award 2023 in recognition of the tahfiz students throughout Perak who have successfully memorised 30 juzuk of the al-Quran; and 7 students received the Perak Tahfiz Certificate (STNP) Award to certify and recognise the huffaz who have memorised 30 juzuk of the al-Quran.

The Principal of Sekolah Rendah Ash-Shuhada' Maizatul Fazreen Mohd Tamin received the Anugerah Sekolah Terbaik Ujian Penilaian Kelas Al-Quran dan Fardu Ain, and Sekolah Menengah Tahfiz Darul Ridzuan Batang Padang Principal Norlia Hamzah received the Anugerah Sekolah Terbaik Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia 2023 in the State Religious Secondary School Category.

The Principal of Maahad Imtiyaz Zulkifli Ismail received the Anugerah Sekolah Terbaik SPM 2023 in the People’s Religious Secondary School category, while Shamsul Bahrain Hashim received the Anugerah Sekolah Terbaik Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) 2022.

The ceremony ended with a special pantomime titled "Selamatkan Bumi", a story about the effects of sea pollution caused by the dumping of plastic on aquatic life and humans, by students from Sekolah Menengah Tahfiz Darul Ridzuan in Manjung.
