Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim officiating the Perak State Level World Town Planning Day Celebration 2023.

SERI ISKANDAR, 25 November 2023 - State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim officiated the Perak State Level World Town Planning Day Celebration 2023 at SMK Seri Iskandar this afternoon.

Representing Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, he said that urban management is no longer just a core function such as the delivery of government services to meet the needs of water and electricity, housing, public safety and health ownership but must be more advanced, innovative and creative, and planning that transcends borders.

"We also need to leverage modern technology to always be prepared in facing any local or international challenges.

"Today’s event also celebrates the parties involved in the town planning aspect. Alhamdulillah, all 15 local authorities (PBT) in Perak and 13 departments and agencies are always committed to developing the state," he said in his speech on behalf of Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad.

Also present were Town and Country Planning Department Deputy Director-General (Planning) Md Nazri Abdullah, Perak Tengah District Officer Mohd Zaki Abdul Rahman, Perak Town and Country Planning Department Director Mohamed Zamri Mohd. Zain and Perak Education Department Director Dato' Mohamad Fauzi Mahson.

Before the ceremony concluded, Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim presented the Sustainable and Happy City Appreciation Award 2023 to the 15 PBTs, including Ipoh City Council, Perak Tengah District Council, Lenggong District Council, Kampar District Council and Batu Gajah District Council.
