HRH Sultan Of Perak Graces Perak State Level Deepavali Celebration 2023.

Their Royal Highnesses presenting donations to orphans.

TANJONG MALIM, 26 November 2023 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah and HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim graced the Perak State Level Deepavali Celebration 2023 at Dewan Sri Tanjong, Tanjong Malim District Council here.

Accompanying Their Royal Highnesses were HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Nazhatul Shima Sultan Idris Shah, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah and HH Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Jen. Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin (Rtd) and wife Toh Puan Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Hajah Rasiah Md. Nor, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, State Senate Members, State Assemblymen, Territorial Chiefs and heads of state and federal departments.

Dato' Seri Saarani in his speech said that the people, regardless of racial boundaries, have proven that racial and religious differences are the identity and uniqueness of Malaysia, especially Perak.

"We are lucky to have the blessings of peace and harmony, when many countries in the world are facing chaos and conflicts due to war.

"Be thankful and appreciate peace and make every effort to avoid conflicts. Be aware that the unity sown among citizens from childhood to adulthood is the key to harmony in life despite facing various trials and tribulations," he said.

At the ceremony, Their Royal Highnesses presented donations to 53 orphans from Pertubuhan Badan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Darussalam Ipoh, Pertubuhan Pengurusan Pusat Jagaan 1 Malaysia and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Insan Kanak-kanak Arut Perum Jothy.

Meanwhile, about 5,000 guests of various races came to enliven the celebration with a variety of food served, including satay, fried noodles, apam balik and traditional Indian food, such as putu mayam, puri, vadai and others.
