Visit By PM To Ulu KINTA NCER IPR-INTAN Project.

ULU KINTA, 28 January 2024 - Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim visited the North Corridor Economic Region People's Income Initiative-Agro Entrepreneur Initiative (NCER IPR-INTAN) Project at Hospital Bahagia here today.

The project is one of the empowerment aids organised by the government for the B40 group and hardcore poor to increase household income and resolving their daily economic problems.

This project also opens up more job opportunities for people involved in the modern agriculture industry.

So far, five farms that have been opened under the NCER IPR-INTAN project and are expected to produce more than 2,100 tonnes of chilli, corn and eggplant crops with a market value of more than RM29 million.

Hopefully, with such a project, it will give a sigh of relief to the people involved, besides strengthening food security in Perak as envisioned in the Perak Sejahtera Plan 2030.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, Economy Ministry Secretary-General Dato' Nor Azmie Diron, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Exco Members and heads of departments and agencies.

Earlier in the morning, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim took the opportunity to spend some time at the MADANI Cheapest Sale (Wet and Dry Goods) Programme at Padang Taman Klebang Restu in Ipoh.

Right after that, he conducted a survey at Pasaraya Mydin, Meru to review the implementation of the targeted subsidy programme for the people, i.e. Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA), and greet the recipients.
