His Royal Highness says Muslims should emulate the strategic thinking of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

IPOH, 7 July 2024 - HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah called Muslims to emulate the strategic thinking of Prophet Muhammad SAW in achieving various successes synonymous with the theme "Strategic Minds Trigger Dynamic Communities”.

"First: The Prophet did not rush to openly deliver the message of Islam. He also didn’t hastily declare that Mecca to be governed by Islam. Instead, he carefully assessed the atmosphere and environment, then introducing Islam discreetly at the early stage through the dakwah movement, starting with a small number among family members and close friends.

"Second: The Prophet strategically planned the hijrah from Mecca to Madinah. Migrating to Madinah was a strategic move to advance Islamic dakwah. Madinah provided a fertile environment and climate for the seeds of Islam to take root," Sultan Nazrin said at the State Level Maal Hijrah 1446H Celebration at Casuarina@Meru in Meru Raya here.

Also gracing the event were HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Nazhatul Shima Idris Shah, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Idris Shah, HH Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Abdul Halim, HH Raja Kecil Besar Perak Raja Dato' Seri Azlan Muzaffar Shah Nazrin Shah and HH Raja Kecil Besar Perak Raja Dato' Seri Iskandar Raja Ziran. 

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin (Rtd) and wife Toh Puan Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Hajah Rasiah Md. Nor, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohd Zahir Abdul Khalid and wife Datin Aznee Abu Samah, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and wife Datin Che Fauziah Ahmad, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, Perak Mufti Dato' Seri Wan Zahidi Wan Teh, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini and Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk) Director Harith Fadzilah Abdul Halim. 

At the event, Sultan Nazrin presented the Tokoh Maal Hijrah 1446H Award to Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah Senior Lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Husni Hasan and the Saidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq (Tokoh Ar-Ridzuan) Award to Universiti Malaysia Principal Research Fellow Prof. Dato' Ir. Dr. Wan Ramli Wan Daud. 

The two recipients received RM15,000 in cash, an Umrah package worth RM9,000, a trophy and a certificate. 

The Sultan also presented the Saidina Ali (Tokoh Belia) Award to Teluk Intan preacher Muhammad Firdaus Kamarudin, Siti Khadijah (Tokoh Wanita) Award to Noor Mazlina Noor Shah, Asnaf Icon Award to Spa Muslimah Sofie Massage Therapist Robunah Abdul Basir and Al-Quba Award (best mosque management) to Masjid An-Naim, Taman Seri Setia, Teluk Intan, and Al-Baqi Award (best Islamic cemetery management) to Taman Persemadian Seri Manjung. 

The recipients each received RM5,000 in cash, a certificate and plaque. 

For the first time, the Special Award category was given to Fifi Nurfatin Marjaidi Hirwan, an Orang Asli Semai student who obtained 9As in the Sijil Peperiksaan Malaysia (SPM) examination recently.
