IPOH, 27 August 2024 - Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato' Nor Sham Rahman, representing State Secretary (SS) Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, officiated the SS’s Message Ceremony to the Perak State Secretariat (PSS) Parade Contingent in conjunction with the 67th National Day Celebration 2024 at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan.

In her speech, Dato' Nor Sham Rahman said she hoped that the PSS parade contingent would succeed in winning the championship in this year's marching parade.

She said all the training and thorough preparations have been carried out so that the contingent can give its best performance during the parade, especially in front of HRH the Sultan of Perak and the public on 31 August.

She added that through foot marching, a person can build a sense of identity and strengthen their personality.

"It aims to discipline and develop a person's self-confidence while creating an attitude of cooperation and adherence to instructions given both mentally and physically.

"So, this foot marching is not just for the national celebration, it is more than that. In front of me, are civil servants whom we have trained to be smart, neat, disciplined and skilled," she elaborated.

The gimmick of handing over the contingent shirts was also held. Dato' Nor Sham presented the contingent shirts to Contingent Head Mohamad Nazrin Ramli.

Deputy State Secretary (Development) Halizah Sipun was also present at the ceremony.
