The Perak Menteri Besar during the Perak Budget 2025 Dialogue Programme.

IPOH, 2 September 2024 - Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad officiated the Perak Budget 2025 Dialogue Programme at the Casuarina Convention Centre here.

The session involved discussions between the Perak State Government top leadership with heads of state departments and agencies, as well as state assemblymen on the content for the State Budget 2025.

The programme started with a presentation session on the findings of the 2025 Perak Budget Survey, conducted on 22 - 30 August last year, by Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) Chief Executive Dr. Maisarah Ahmad as moderator.

The survey aimed to get the people's views and feedback in assisting the state government to plan the budget more effectively, prudently and in line with current needs.

The programme then continued with a dialogue session to give the attendees the opportunity to share their ideas and collective views so that they can jointly draft a state budget that focussed on the people’s wellbeing.

At the session, Dato' Seri Saarani took the opportunity to address and resolve the issues raised to him regarding economic, social and political wellbeing as outlined in the Perak Sejahtera Plan 2030. 

Also present at the programme were State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin and State Exco Members.
