Their Royal Highnesses at the Pledge of Loyalty and Perak Investiture Ceremony.

KUALA KANGSAR, 9 November 2024 - Keeper of the Rulers' Seal Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad headed the list of 59 recipients of the Perak State Awards and Medals in conjunction with the 68th Birthday Celebration of HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.

Syed Danial, appointed as the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal on 10 January 2011, was conferred the Darjah Dato' Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP), which carries the title Dato' Seri.

The same award was also conferred on Auditor-General Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi and Yee Lee Corporation Executive Chairman Dato' Lim Kok Cheong @ Lim A Heng.

Meanwhile, Economy Ministry Secretary-General Dato' Nor Azmie Diron was bestowed the Darjah Dato' Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (DPCM), which carries the title Dato'.

Sultan Nazrin also conferred the Darjah Dato' Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP), which carries the title Dato' on eight recipients, namely Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr. Md Amin Md Taff, New Straits Times Leader Writer Abdul Rahim Mydin, Perak Islamic Religious Department Director Harith Fadzilah Abdul Halim, Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital Otorhinolaryngology Head Dr. Philip Rajan, National Library Director-General Salasiah Abdul Wahab, Prime Minister's Department Advisory Board Chairman Yong Zarida Sazali, Malaysian Ambassador to the Netherlands Roseli Abdul and Menteri Besar Incorporated CEO Anuar Zainal Abidin.

The investiture ceremony was held at Balairong Seri, Istana Iskandariah here.

Accompanying His Royal Highness was HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim.

Also in attendance were HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah and HH Raja Puan Muda Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen (Rtd) Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohd Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Advisor Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, State Assemblymen, Senators and heads of state and federal departments.

The Sultan also conferred the Darjah Dato' Pahlawan Taming Sari (DPTS), which carries the title Dato' Pahlawan on six recipients, namely Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Director CP Dato' Sri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, Bukit Aman Special Branch Director CP Dato' Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail, Perak Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department Chief SAC Ng Kong Soon, Armed Forces Engineering Services Division Director-General Major General M Thevendran, Armed Forces Obstetrician & Gynaecologist Brig. Gen. Dr. Sharifah Sofiah Syed Zainol Abidin and Royal Malaysian Navy Region 1 Commander Rear Admiral Farizal Myeor.

The Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (PCM) was awarded to 13 recipients and the Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP) 28 recipients.

The second session of the investiture ceremony for the remaining 154 awards will be held on 16 November at Balairong Seri, Istana Iskandariah here.
