Their Royal Highnesses taking part in the run for the VIP category.

KUALA KANGSAR, 10 November 2024 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah participated in the Sultan Nazrin Shah Birthday Run (SNSBR) 2024 at Dataran Pavilion here this morning.

HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim and daughter HH Raja Nazira Safya Sultan Nazrin Shah, and Sultan Nazrin’s younger sister, HH Raja Dato' Seri Yong Sofia Sultan Azlan Shah also joined in the run.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohd Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Advisor Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members and heads of state departments and agencies.

The run, held in conjunction with Sultan Nazrin Shah’s 68th Birthday which was celebrated on 1 November, attracted more than 12,000 participants.

The event started at 6.50 am with His Royal Highness flagging off of the participants in the 15 km (5,579 runners} 10 km (4,623 runners) and 7 km (1,418 runners) categories.

Their Royal Highnesses then joined the other dignitaries in the VIP category event which was flagged off by HH Raja Dato' Seri Yong Sofia Sultan Azlan Shah.

After the event, Their Royal Highnesses watched various performances presented at SNSBR, including band performances by students of Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) and SMK Clifford, performances by the Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), as well as various cultural performances comprising the various races.

Before leaving, HRH the Raja Permaisuri of Perak graciously officiated the presentation ceremony of prizes to the winners who recorded the fastest times for each category in this year's SNSBR.
