HRH Sultan of Perak officiating the opening of Menara HASiL LHDN, Teluk Intan.

TELUK INTAN, 18 February 2025 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the opening of Menara HASiL, Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) here.

HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah were also in attendance.

His Royal Highness' arrival was welcomed by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying.

Also present were State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, Orang Kaya Seri Raja Diraja Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib, State Exco Members, Perak Territorial Chiefs, Treasury Secretary-General Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican, LHDN CEO Datuk Dr. Abu Tariq Jamaluddin, Perak IRB Director Badri Basiran@Basir, and heads of state and federal departments.

The ceremony began with the singing of the State Anthem and recitation of the holy verses of the Quran, before His Royal Highness signed a plaque symbolising the opening of Menara HASiL.

The Sultan then visited an exhibition, followed by a dinner reception and a visit to Menara HASiL, before departing.

Earlier, Datuk Dr. Abu Tariq, in his speech, said the three-storey building is equipped with various facilities, including a multipurpose hall, meeting rooms, cafeteria, and more spacious and comfortable workspaces for officers.

"Counters with a modern, contemporary design are also provided to facilitate community tax affairs in Perak, especially around Teluk Intan. It also offers a more comfortable and conducive space to the vulnerable and underprivileged under the Government's Special Aid programmes, such as Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) managed by HASiL," he said.

Moreover, the State Government had recorded an excellent achievement, with the highest revenue collection in history of RM1.322 billion in 2024.

Perak also received the Auditor-General's Certificate Without Reprimand for the State Financial Statements 2023, thus strengthening its position among the five best states in terms of financial governance.
