HRH Sultan of Perak visiting the exhibition booths set up.

IPOH, 19 February 2025 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Perak State Level Al-Quran Recitation and Memorisation 1446H/2025M prize presentation and closing ceremony at the Casuarina Meru Convention Centre here.

HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and HH Raja Di-Hilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah were also in attendance.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, HH Raja Kecil Sulong Perak Raja Dato' Seri Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah Raja Ashman Shah, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Jeneral Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin (Rtd), State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim,  State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Exco Members, Perak Territorial Chiefs, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini, and heads of state departments.

At the ceremony, Aiman Ridhwan Mohamad Ramlan and Norhazira Nabila Mohammad Kamel were crowned champions of the Perak State Level Al-Quran Recitation 1446H/2025M respectively; each receiving cash RM10,000, an umrah package worth RM10,000, and a plaque.

The qari runner-up was Mohd Sahran Termizi and third place Amir Naufal Rifqi Mohd Rashid, while the qariah runner-up was Puteri Kalimatul Azzua Hamid and Nur Syahira Saiful Adli in third place.

The first and second runners-up received cash RM7,000 and RM5,000 respectively, and a plaque.

Meanwhile, in the 1 to 30 juzuk memorisation category, the champion was Mohd Adib Ahmad Rozaini for the male category and Siti Sarah Muhammad Hanif for the female category. They each received cash RM10,000, an umrah package worth RM10,000, and a plaque.

In the 1 to 20 juzuk male and female memorisation category, the champions were Danish Farhan Abdul Razak and Nurhamizah Mohd Shafawi, each taking home RM6,000 cash and a certificate of appreciation.

The best qari and qariah will represent Perak at the National Level Al-Quran Recitation and Memorisation (MTHQK) Ceremony to be held from 27 April to 2 May 2025 in Perlis.
