HRH Sultan Of Perak Graces Programme To Instill Loyalty To King And Country In Conjunction With National Month 2025.

Arrival of His Royal Highness at the event.

IPOH, 16 August 2025 - HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Prize Giving Ceremony for the Programme to Instill Loyalty to the King and Country in conjunction with the National Month 2025 at Dewan Bankuet, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan.

Accompanying the Sultan were HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim and HH Raja Kecil Besar Perak Raja Dato’ Seri Azlan Muzaffar Shah Nazrin Shah.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. (Rtd) Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin and wife Toh Puan Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Hajah Rasiah Md. Nor, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid and wife Datin Aznee Abu Samah, Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and wife Datin Che Fauziah Ahmad, State Legal Advisor Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato’ Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, State Senate Member Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini, Education Director-General Dr. Mohd Azam Ahmad and State Education Department Director Safuan Raba’ai.

In his speech, Safuan Raba’ai said that starting from 2015, the programme was first introduced with only two competitions, namely the Essay Writing Competition and the Public Speaking Competition.

"Year by year, the number of events contested has increased. By 2025, a total of 181,223 students participated directly at the school, district, and state levels in 19 events contested," he elaborated.

He added that this increasing participation reflected the enthusiasm, determination, commitment and dedication of the people of Perak in expressing ideas that have a real impact, thereby achieving outstanding success at the international level.

At the event, His Royal Highness presented prizes to the winners of the Malay Language Public Speaking Competition in the Primary School category.

The champion was Nawal Ahnaf Yuzaidi from SK Proton City, Muallim, while the runner-up was Akma Dalilah Zulhaidi Alifitri from SK Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang, Kinta Utara. Third place was Auni Safiyya Nor Hisham from SK Lambor Kanan, Perak Tengah.

Next, the Sultan presented prizes to the winners of the English Language Public Speaking Competition in the Primary School category. The winner was Muhammad Ikram Rizky Ikram from SK Belanja, Perak Tengah, while the runner-up was Isha Mithraa A/P Ramadass from SK Raja Perempuan Muzwin, Kuala Kangsar. Third place went to Nur Elmeera Afrina Sheikh Kamaruzzaman from SK Dato' Yahya Subban, Hilir Perak.

After that, he presented prizes to the winners of the Malay Language Public Speaking Competition in the Lower Secondary category. The winner was Nurul Alya Fatini Ahmad Rozi from SMK Sultan Abdullah, Hilir Perak, while the runner-up was Nurul Aimy Zhafirah Mohamad Kamil from SMK Alang Iskandar, Kerian. Third place was Nur Aina Ama'nina Nurul Hadi from SMK Khir Johari, Muallim.

The presentation continued with the English Public Speaking Competition for the Lower Secondary category. The winner was Shivannii from SMK Ulu Bernam, Bagan Datuk. The runner-up was Bryden Kang Lopez from SMK Kerian, Kerian, while third place went to Lim Jet Kai from SMJK Sam Tet, Kinta Utara.

Next was the presentation for the Malay Language Public Speaking Competition for Upper Secondary School category. The champion was Ifwat Arrafi Mohd Amin from SMK Tun Abd Razak, Bagan Datuk. The runner-up was Nurul Asyikin Mohamad Kamil from SMK Alang Iskandar, Kerian, while third place was Nur Alifah Ilyana Mohd Fadhilah from SMK Agama Sultan Azlan Shah, Perak Tengah.

For the English Public Speaking Competition in the upper secondary school category, the champion was Sandra Ann A/P Anthony from SMK St Bernadette's Convent, Kinta Selatan, while the runner-up was Neya Malar Guru A/P Khumara Guru from SMK Methodist (ACS) Parit Buntar, Kerian. Third place was Moneissha A/P Deva Rajoo from SMJK Dindings, Manjung.

Meanwhile, HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak presented prizes for the essay writing, poetry writing, poster drawing and caricature drawing competitions for the primary, lower secondary and upper secondary school categories.

Their Royal Highnesses then graciously visited the painting and caricature exhibition before leaving the event at 10:30 pm.
