The programme starts with a warm-up session before the run.

SUNGAI SIPUT, 20 September 2025 – The Perak Agrofest Fun Run 2025 was held lively at Arena Sungai Siput (U) this morning with over 500 participants joining the event.

The flag-off ceremony was officiated by State Rural Development, Plantations, Agriculture and Food Industry Committee Chairman Dato' Mohd Zolkafly Harun as early as 7.30 am here.

In his speech, he said that the second edition of the Fun Run was held outside the Ladang Infoternak Sungai Siput area to provide a wider opportunity for the local community to participate in recreational activities in an inclusive, open and family-friendly manner.

He added that apart from enlivening the excitement of Perak Agrofest 2025, the Fun Run was also a platform to foster the spirit of unity among the multiracial community.

He also expressed his appreciation for the close cooperation between the state government and the departments and agencies involved in making the programme a success.

This strategic relationship, he emphasised, needs to be further strengthened so that every event brings comprehensive benefits to the people.

“My hope is that programmes like this should be continued and expanded in the future, not only for health and fitness purposes, but also to strengthen harmony and unity within the community,” he said.

Meanwhile, he also invited all the people of the state to come and enliven Perak Agrofest 2025, scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 September at Ladang Infoternak Sungai Siput.

Also present were Deputy State Secretary (Development) Halizah Sipun, Perak Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM) Director Ahmad Zulkifli Ismail, Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council President Dr. Sakduddin Zamli and Sungai Siput Chief Assistant District Officer Khaizurul Ezwan Baharuddin.
